CUSTOMISED PROGRAMS & MODULES

Each school / educational institution has a unique set of requirements, specially in terms of the desired learning outcomes for the program. So we have curated several modules, each one is designed with specific learning outcomes in mind. Modules cover History, Heritage, Arts, Archaeology, Wildlife, Adventure, Storytelling, Folklore, Mythology and more. Modules could be inform of classroom activity, field visit, hands-on activity, immersive experience, workshops, team competitions or outdoor activities. The modules can be further tweaked as per requirements.

Planning a trip starts with you choosing all the modules that you think would be relevant for your students and identifying any changes you might want. With this as a start point, we will sit down and plan a customised itinerary for you.

Archaeology 101

Understanding the basics of Archaeology

Duration: 2 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: Understanding how the past in interpreted through study of material culture. What are the types of Archaeology?  What tools and techniques are adopted by Archaeologists? What are the processes of Archaeology?

ACTIVITY: Classroom interactive session, Archaeological Museum Visit, Observation & Interpretation of Artefacts.

SKILLS USED: Use of Objective & Subjective descriptions, Observation, Effective writing, Reading comprehension, Basic sketching.

Mock Excavation

Excavating, Documenting and Interpreting an Archaeological site

Duration: 6 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: Participants learn how Archaeology helps to fill in gaps in the historical record and shed light on aspects of life that may not have been documented.

ACTIVITY: Excavating a mock archaeological site, documenting and presenting the narrative interpretations.

SKILLS USED: Working in teams, effective communication, storytelling & stage performance.

Raya's Trail

Study of an Archaeological site from Vijayanagara period

Duration: 3 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: Interpret an Archaeological site through features, structures, layout & maps

ACTIVITY: Heritage scavenger Hunt, Study of Historical records & Expert led tour of the site

SKILLS USED: Team work, Reading Comprehension, Observation & Interpretation

Vijayanagara - City of Victory

Expert led tour of UNESCO world heritage site of Hampi

Duration: 6 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: Understanding how historical narratives are formed. Difference between History, Legends & Mythology.

ACTIVITY: Expert led tours through the archaeological sites of Hampi Vijayanagara

SKILLS USED: Observation, Active listening, group discussion

Cultural Immersion

Local culture, folklore and traditions of Hampi

Duration: 3 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: How the present is connected to the past. Livelihoods and Challenges in rural communities.

ACTIVITY: Theatre dance perfomance by local tribal group.Handicraft workshop with women artisans. Local food with community. Expert led tour.

Prehistory

Story of Early Humans in India & particularly this region

Duration: 4 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: Understanding how early humans settled and evolved in the Indian subcontinent

ACTIVITY: Visit to India's only Prehistory Museum. Neolithic site visit to examine cave paintings.

SKILLS USED: Basic sketching, tool making, observation

Mythical Landscape

Sunrise Hike & Riverside Adventures

Duration: 3 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: Unique geology and landscape of the region. Motivation and breaking boundaries

ACTIVITY: Sunrise hike to one of the tallest boulder hills at Hampi. Parkour style adventure exploring riverside of Tungabhadra

SKILLS USED: Hiking

Wild Hampi

Land ecosystems and wild life safari

Duration: 3 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: Unique geology and landscape of the region. Motivation and breaking boundaries

Temple Architecture & Iconography

Expert led tour of Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal

Duration: 6 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOME: 3000 years of evolution in temple architecture from cave shrines to elaborate & complex temples. Understanding the language of temple architecture, iconography and motifs in Indian temples. Types of temples in India.

ACTIVITY: Expert led tour of Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal Archaeological sites

PROGRAM INCLUSIONS

Facilitator

A facilitator will be with your group throughout the trip, will help co-ordinate with all vendors on the ground and ensure effective operations. They will also be conducting daily reflection sessions and ensure we deliver on the learning outcomes

Expert

Experts including Historians, Naturalists, Tour Leaders, Community Members will be leading different modules sharing their knowledge and experience with us.

ACCOMMODATION

Variety of options available to suit different budgets and needs. Quad Sharing, Triple Sharing, Double Sharing configurations are available at the hotel.

Transportation

A/C Coaches of different capacity and categories can be arranged. Transfers can be arranged from Bengaluru, Hubli, Hospete or Torangallu.

FOOD

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner will be arranged. Food preferences and allergies can be accommodated if information is provided in advance. Additional snacks, energy bars, fruit etc can be arranged on request.

SAFETY

Risk and safety assessments are carried out for all the activities and locations on a quarterly basis. Report is available on request. Allergies and medication list of all the participants are collected before the commencement of the trip.
